American Idol season 8 runner up Adam Lambert has been waiting for this day for longer than many know.

Lambert describes the song as “dance music with a glam rock shuffle beat.”

Produced by Dr. Luke, the brain behind such hits as Kelly Clarkson’s “Since U Been Gone” and Britney Spears’ “Circus”, the song is the first from an album Lambert says is an “eclectic collection” with an “electo kinda pop feel.”

Lambert worked with pop superstar Lady Gaga on a song but explains, “unfortunately, she’s not on the song, but she was on the other side of the recording studio coaching me through it.”

Regarding rumors that Lambert has scheduled a cameo on hit Fox show “Glee,” he said “I think that’s just a rumor, I haven’t heard anything officially about that.”

Album Scoop Directly From Adam Lambert

by on Oct.28, 2009, under All About Adam

Adam Lambert has shared so much information on Twitter today, very exciting to hear about his new music!!

First, Adam’s thoughts about feedback on his album cover.

“Thank you to those who appreciate and understand that the album cover is deliberately campy. It’s an homage to the past. It IS ridiculous. For those that don’t get it: oh well… Glad to have gotten your attention. androgyny. Rock n Roll.”

al-fyeblog

When I first saw Adam’s album cover, it took my breath away. I never considered questioning his choice for artistic expression anymore than I would tell him which songs to include on his album. It’s about respect, Adam is the artist here and this is his creative work.

“Adam is so multi-faceted, there are so many side to him and to his craft…personally I am so pleased/proud to have an artist so brave to open himself up…and show us all parts of himself…in the most unapologetic way…it’s so beautiful and refreshing to see.” by Andybaby07 at TALC

Adam spoke about his fans in response to the Question of the Day on Adam Official. “The connection with the fans has been really powerful. Knowing that there is so much passion and support for what I do will help me take risks in the future; artistically, personally and musically.” I think this quote from Adam speaks volumes.

10-27-09 Question of the Day

Adam Lambert talks music on twitter today!!

“Thanks guys! :) Well here’s some more album info for you guys! The upcoming single was produced by Dr Luke!! There is also a song called “Soaked” written by Muse! Also a tune called “Music Again” written by Justin Hawkins of the Darkness!”

You can listen to a demo track of “Soaked” sung by Matthew Bellamy of Muse here.

Adam Lambert announced his single today on twitter. “Debut single is called “For Your Entertainment” get ready to shake yo asses to this song. It’ll make ya dance for sure. :)”

We’re ready to dance Adam, we are more than ready!!! Lyndsey Parker, at yahoo music, provided us with an excellent description of Adam’s single.

“Entertainment” – The default title track and statement of intent, masterminded by Dr. Luke (Katy Perry) and Claude Kelly (Britney Spears, Kelly Clarkson), Adam opens this one up, Rocky Horror-meets-Robbie Williams-style, with the audacious declaration: “I’m here for your entertainment!” And he ain’t kidding. This is an ultra-caffeinated party-starter (imagine if Mika, Sam Sparro, and Kevin Rudolf had a threesome that resulted in the conception of a glittery alien baby…if you dare), and it’s just begging to be remixed by everyone from Calvin Harris to the Neptunes to Justice–even though it sounds like a shiz-hawt remix already, as is.

Claude Kelly chimed in on Twitter saying, “For Your Entertainment” is seriously a musical ASS-WHOOPING! @TheDoctorLuke outdid himself. prepare to be to entertained. =)

More from Adam on Twitter, “I also wrote on four songs on the album. “Strut”, “Aftermath” “Broken Open” and “Down the Rabbit Hole” (iTunes bonus track)” I’m so excited for you all to hear it!!!!

Love hearing Adam’s enthusiasm for his work. We are beyond excited!!

I’ll leave you with Adam Lambert sharing his most memorable experience as a musical artist.

Adam Lambert Attends ‘This Is It’ Premiere

by on Oct.28, 2009, under All About Adam, Interviews

Adam Lambert tweeted yesterday, “On my way to the THIS IS IT premiere with my lovely date Miss Katy Perry!! We are Dressed!”

Here’s what Adam Lambert had to say about Michael Jackson during an interview on the red carpet. “Michael Jackson raised the bar so high that all of us of us are just looking at it like this. I think everybody has said that over the last twenty or so years. He fused music together, pop, rock, R&B, he didn’t pick one genre. He didn’t conform with the way he dressed, with the way he performed, he was his own guy and I’m very inspired by that attitude.”

Adam Lambert at This Is It Premiere

Adam Lambert talks with Access Hollywood about his inspirations for his album cover and about Michael Jackson’s “This Is It”.

Adam Lambert has revealed that it was a host of music legends helped inspire the glam look on the cover of his upcoming album, “For Your Entertainment.”

“I’ve loved David Bowie since I was a kid [and] artists like Michael Jackson, Prince [and] Mick Jagger,” Adam told Access Hollywood’s Tony Potts at the Los Angeles premiere of “This Is It” on Tuesday night. “There’s a lot of male rock stars in history that have kind of played with androgyny and I [am] just fascinated by that look so I wanted to do something like that for the album cover.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Adam unveiled the cover on his official Web site on Tuesday. The image shows the “American Idol” Season 8 runner-up with colorful make up and a leather-gloved hand cradling his face.

Beyond simply the cover, Adam said he is thrilled to be releasing the effort – his first official album of post-“American Idol” material – on November 23 via 19 Recordings/RCA, but he told Tony he only just finished picking the songs.

“I’m so excited,” Adam said. “We just came up with the final track listing [on Monday] — made our final selection on songs. It’s all happening… I can’t believe it. I’m so lucky.”

And the raven-haired singer from San Diego is still singing the praises of the show that gave him an opportunity to reach out to millions each week earlier this year. Adam said the next step, however, is standing on his own two feet.

“’American Idol’ is the most amazing opportunity for an artist… It’s a platform, it’s an opportunity. You compete well on the show and then you have the chance at a record deal and it helps launch your career,” Adam raved. “I wouldn’t be anywhere without that show, but now that the show is over… you kind of have to pull out the reigns and do your thing. Now it’s up to me to just try to keep entertaining people and hopefully keep everybody’s interest.”

Adam attended last night’s “This Is It” premiere with a date – his pal and fellow singer Katy Perry – but before heading in he told Tony he hoped to really understand Michael better as a performer by watching the nearly two-hour movie.

“I just want to get a glimpse of his creative process,” Adam said. “I’ve always been a Michael Jackson fan, but part of what made him so alluring is that he was kind of mysterious. [You] didn’t get to see behind the scenes that much, with the exception of that ‘Thriller’ behind the scenes documentary which I was obsessed with as a kid.”

And with “This Is It” finally hitting theaters today, Adam said what he’ll miss most about the entertainer is his artistry.

“[I’ll miss] his individuality and [the] freedom that he had in expressing himself,” Adam said. “There’s nobody like him. There hasn’t been since, there wasn’t before. He was his own unique brand of entertainer and I respect and admire how original and individual that was.” Access Hollywood

The cover is gorgeous, stunning, and totally Adam, which makes it perfect!!

drzhivago at TALC summed it up this way, “I LOVE it. It is a little ridiculous, and that’s what I love so much about it. Big News About Adam Lambert’s Debut Album

by on Oct.21, 2009, under All About Adam

Entertainment Weekly

Entertainment Weekly

Hot off the press!! Lyndsey Parker visited 19 Entertainment offices today to listen to three of Adam Lambert’s songs from his debut album titled, “For Your Entertainment”. Lyndsey describes her experience, as only she can, where you are guaranteed to get a real feel for what’s coming our way on November 23rd!

Yahoo Music

Okay, dear readers, please excuse any typos in the following blog entry. I am to be excused, since my brain is so boggled after getting to visit the 19 Entertainment offices and privately preview three Adam Lambert songs from his upcoming superglamtastic and very aptly titled debut album, For Your Entertainment (out November 23). My black-fingernailed fingers are quivering in almost too palsy-stricken a manner to type, but at the same time I am too excited about the audio glitterbombs that have been blasted directly into my unsuspecting ear canals to wait until I’m fully coherent to share my giddy thoughts. I’d be waiting a good long while, really.

Yes, the music was THAT good, people. It was EXACTLY the extraterrestrial electro-opus I hoped and dreamed it would be. You know how the Glamerican Idol recently told Entertainment Weekly that his album would sound “as if a ’70s time-capsule blasted off into space and you’re watching it through a holographic filter”? Well, yeah, that sums it up pretty awesomely; I honestly don’t know if I can actually top such brilliant wordage. Perhaps Adam should just have my job…if he weren’t so busy reinventing the pop wheel, being fabulous, making plans for world domination, daring to dance in the path of greatness, etc.

Now, I know some fans (including myself, to some degree) were thrown a curveball by “Time For Miracles,” Adam’s classic-rock-leaning, Aerosmithian 2012 power-ballad that didn’t seem all that spacey or holographic, to be honest. Certainly that song especially appealed to Adam fans partial to his Idol performances of hoary perennials like Zep’s “Whole Lotta Love,” U2′s “One,” Aerosmith’s “Cryin’,” and Steppenwolf’s “Born To Be Wild,” but it was hardly the “rock-pop-electronic-dance thing” Adam once titillatingly promised.

However, Adam Lambert is a complex man with a multiple musical personality, and so I can tell you all, based on the three tracks I heard, For Your Entertainment sounds NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING, like “Time For Miracles.” These freaky-deaky songs, in all their wondrously neon-lit, mirror-balled, future-shocked, robot-rockin’ glory, almost don’t even sound like they were recorded by the same artist, the same human being…except for the fact that that voice is unmistakable, of course.

The time for miracles really has arrived now, in the fierce form of these sneak-previewed tracks:

“Winners” – A slinky, sexy, salacious dance-rock grinder with a keening, near-orgasmic vocal reminiscent of Adam’s watershed “Ring Of Fire” performance, this Rob Cavallo-produced cut cracks open in the middle like a giant whitechocolatespaceegg to reveal a colossal, fist-pumping, Gary-Glittery chantalong chorus that seems lifted straight out of “We Will Rock You 2: Electric Boogaloo.” So my guess is Queen’s Brian May will be impressed by this massive masterwork, too. A winner, indeed.

“Music Again” – Okay, this is the song, also produced by Rob Cavallo, largely responsible for my current lack of coherence or composure. The minute this glammy tour de force forced its way out of the 19 Entertainment office’s speakers, it was so white-hot I was instantly reduced to a puddle of melted spandex and runny eyeliner. A falsetto gang chorus like something off a lost Sweet outtakes album, squalling guitar riffs, pumping “Funkytown” beats…my head was pretty much exploding at this point, but I managed to hold my cranium together long enough to turn to a nearby 19 employee and jokingly state, “This sounds like the Darkness, if the Darkness were remixed.” To which the employee answered, “That’s funny you say that, because this song was actually written by [legendarily unitarded Darkness frontman] Justin Hawkins, and that’s Justin on guitar.”

Please read that above sentence again closely, people, and allow the full weight of its awesomeness to sink in. Adam Lambert + Justin Hawkins. ADAM LAMBERT + JUSTIN HAWKINS! Best. Collabo. Ever. Two of the most righteously rockin’ and elastically vocal-corded rock gawds of the past 10 years, two of this decade’s lone keepers of the glam-rock flame, together at last. As a diehard Darkness fan, I still believe in a thing called love…and I loved this song so much that at this point in the listening session, what was left of my poor throbbing head exploded, and shards of my caved-in skull went flying in all directions across the 19 office like the debris from a busted piñata. I apologize to the 19 office’s evening cleaning crew in advance. But hey, I could not help it. Let me state this again, just to be clear: Adam Lambert + Justin Hawkins. Such a skull-shatteringly awesome duet even deserves a new name-smash: Hawkbert. Or maybe Lamkins. Yesssssss.

Wham, bam, thank you Madam, for the glam. I can’t wait to hear (and write about) more, if my head can take it…Preview Alert!: Reality Rocks’ Adam Lambert Listening Session by Lyndsdey Parker

An early preview of three new songs.

“What Do You Want From Me?” (written by Pink and Max Martin) “It works on a relationship level, but I also relate to the sense of talking to the public. Like ‘This whole thing’s a little freaked out, but please have faith in me, because I won’t disappoint you.’”

“Strut” (written by Kara DiGuardi and Lambert) “It’s Gary Glitter/T. Rex-type thing with an empowerment lyric. You’re not going to find love and happiness unless you let your hair down and strut your stuff.”

“Loaded Smile” (written by Linda Perry and Lambert) “It’s a bit dark with all the vocals in falsetto. It feels like you’re floating in space.” by Mikael Wood, Entertainment Weekly.

We’ve got some information from Gil Kaufman from MTV about Adam Lambert working with Lady Gaga earlier this week. Adam has mentioned during many interviews that he would love to work with Lady Gaga. What an incredible opportunity for Adam!

Adam Lambert Confirms Collaboration With Lady Gaga

“Yes it’s true: I spent yesterday in the studio w the insanely talented and creative Lady Gaga recording a song that she wrote! I love her,” Lambert tweeted.

Ever since Lady Gaga appeared on an “American Idol” results show this spring, fans have begged the two to collaborate. Just last week, the “Idol” rocker dismissed rumors that he would be joining Gaga on her Monster Ball tour. News of an alleged Gaga/Lambert duet, however, spread on Monday, when songwriter Ruth-Anne Cunningham tweeted that she’d dropped by a recording session where the two artists were working together. (A publicist for Lady Gaga would not comment when asked about it by MTV News yesterday afternoon.)

On his Twitter, Lambert revealed that the hookup was not just some experiment, but that Gaga came armed with music she’d crafted specifically for the glam-rock-loving singer. “Gaga wrote the song a while ago, and she thought it would be a good fit for me,” he wrote. “It’s a solo track. I feel so honored and lucky to be asked.

“Gaga just gets it, ya know?” he added. A spokesperson for Lambert could not be reached at press time to confirm if the song, whose title was not revealed, will be included on his upcoming major label debut, For Your Entertainment, out November 23. Adam Lambert’s ‘Time For Miracles’ Music Video On The Big Screen

Adam Lambert spoke with MTV about the making of his “Time For Miracles” music video during the American Music Awards press conference this week. Here’s what Adam had to say about his role in the music video.

“[The video] was really performance-driven. It was really about the lyric content and the emotional guts of the song,” Lambert told MTV News on Tuesday (October 13) in Los Angeles.

But given that the tune is being used in a Roland Emmerich-helmed disaster flick, fans should expect a doomsday element to the clip as well. “There were a ton of extras on the set. What they were doing is they were staging scenes reminiscent of what happens in ’2012,’ ” Lambert said.

Specifically, the “American Idol” rocker pointed to one sequence in the video where he sings calmly while chaos surrounds him. “I’m just walking through looking straight at the camera singing the song, and there’s a riot going on around me — people being tossed in front of me, looting, you know, people being arrested,” Lambert described. “That was pretty wild, to try to stay focused on the song while that was happening. But we had fun. It was a good day.” by Jim Catiello, MTV.com

Adam Lambert Discusses “Time For Miracles” Music Video with MTV

“Time For Miracles” Music Video On The Big Screen

Lambert is especially happy about where fans will be able to see the “Time for Miracles” video: the big screen. “The ’2012′ trailer that we put together with the ['Time for Miracles' music video] will be premiering at the Michael Jackson film,” Lambert revealed to MTV News, referring to a special trailer that will run before the upcoming documentary “Michael Jackson’s This Is It.” by Jim Catiello, MTV.com

Given the fact that Michael Jackson’s documentary ‘This Is It’ and Adam Lambert’s “Time For Miracles” will both release worldwide, it’s a perfect fit. Just to give you an idea of the potential viewing audience for “Time For Miracles” music video, I’ve included some stats about MJ’s ‘This Is It’ ticket sales.

Among the cities with the strongest sales are Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston and New York. Records were also set in Japan, where more than $1 million in tickets were sold on the first day they were available. In London, fans bought more than 30,000 tickets on the first day, eclipsing the advance interest in the “Harry Potter” and “The Lord of the Rings” films, which were wildly popular in Britain. Record sales were also reported in Holland, Sweden, Belgium and New Zealand, MTV.com reports.

It was also reported, while online sales were high, fans also lined sidewalks waiting for tickets in Paris, Bangkok and Munich, Sony Pictures said. “Michael Jackson’s This Is It” Breaks Ticket Sales Records Worldwide
