CONGRATULATIONS ADAM LAMBERT!!!
by luv2laugh at TALC
Idol received over 88 million votes last Tuesday night. Thank you America for bringing Adam Lambert, the most talented contestant to ever grace the Idol stage to the American Idol Finale! It’s all the thousands and thousands of fans who spent every bit of time and energy they had voting for Adam that helped bring him to the Top Two. Of course, we all have a incredible motivator; Adam Lambert has shown us week after week that he has the extraordinary talent, brilliant vocals, exhilarating stage presence, mesmerizing charisma, creative artistry, and the outstanding professionalism to be the next Super Star. All the Adam Bombs here at TALC couldn’t be more excited and proud to support Adam Lambert.
Idol gave us a little taste of Adam Lambert’s hometown visit to San Diego. Energized crowds were everywhere, FOX news, local radio stations, Mt. Carmel high school and Miramar Navel Base to show Adam how very proud they were of all he has accomplished. I enjoyed Adam’s personal commentary throughout the video. It warmed my heart to see Adam working with the young children at the Metropolitan Educational Theater to share his experiences and give them words of encouragement.
We watched… we waited… we watched… we waited… until finally it was time to hear the two contestants who would compete in the Idol Finale. Ryan Seacrest announced Kris Allen first. Adam turned and hugged Kris tightly with genuine excitement for him. When Ryan announced Adam’s name to join Kris, the anxious crowd cheered and cried with the realization that Adam had made it to the finals. Adam covered his face so full of emotion as he experienced a moment in time never to be forgotten; when you realize you are just one step away from fulfilling your dream.
This week’s Ford music video is “Break My Stride” sung by the Top 3. The guys get to experience what it would be like to have super powers. Click here to watch Break My Stride Music Video
During the making of “Break My Stride”, Adam explains, “The concept of the video is us turning into an animated version of ourselves when trouble arises. The song this week is “Break My Stride”. It’s awesome! The lyrics are just all about, you know what? Get out of my way, I’ve got to keep going.” Click here to watch Making of Break My Stride
Adam Lambert’s singles are available at the American Idol iTunes store. Run, don’t walk to get your copy of Adam’s studio versions of “One” and “Cryin”. Both of these songs clearly benefit from Adam having the opportunity to sing the entire song; more Adam, what’s not to love? American Idol iTunes store
America’s Final Two: Adam Lambert & Kris Allen
As Randy Jackson said last night on Idol Extra, “It’s like My Chemical Romance meets Jason Mraz.”
“Here is the story behind the polished nail: from a post by drea @ castrocopia — This story was shared by a friend of the Allen Family who attended the rehearsals this week in LA! Did you notice Kris had his thumbnail repainted? Can you guess who painted it? That’s right! Adam Lambert! Kris performed during Rock week with a painted thumbnail, and his homecoming footage captured the chipped polish. Tuesday night, however, Kris performed one of the best performances of the night (and the season, might I add) with a freshly painted thumbnail. According to Megan Malone, Adam painted Kris’s thumbnail after the homecoming visits and removed the polish from one of his own nails, stating "If you can carry around a piece of me, man; I can do the same for you." Malone said, “The Allens believe Kris wears the black fingernail polish in support of Adam because he wanted Adam in the finale. Also, Kris wanted to dispel any rumors claiming the two weren’t great friends.” Kris and Adam were roommates in the Idol Mansion throughout their stay. Thanks Megan for sharing the sweet story!” by Hanna at TALC
As different as Adam and Kris are artistically, they have become very close. Two best buddies; two talented all around great guys headed to Season 8′s American Idol Finale. This is an Idol first and I can’t help but feel that in many respects this is a win/win situation. Best of luck to both Adam Lambert and Kris Allen. However, we all know that there can be only one American Idol. The Adam Bombs at TALC choose the one and only Adam Lambert, the one who dares to be different, risking it all, to stay true to himself. Adam Lambert will always have all our unending support.
“Adam and Kris are friends, they are brothers, and they are competitors.
On May 19, they will enter the arena. Only one will leave victorious. But he will be crowned as the American Idol, not “Friend”, not “Brother”.
The crown rightfully should go to the man who CONSISTENTLY “made songs his own”.
To the man who CONSISTENTLY sang to perfection, no matter the genre, no matter the tempo.
To the man who CONSISTENTLY offered audiences a COMPLETE vision of his songs, from voice to attire to movement to staging.
To the man who is BOTH humble AND charismatic.
To the man who will henceforth be one-monikered, as all the greats are:
ADAM.” by winkydink at TALC

Adam Lambert may be safe, but this victory is bittersweet. Adam was placed in Idols’ bottom two last night during the results show along with Matt Giraud. Matt Giraud went home. At this point in the competition, it’s difficult to watch any of the contestants go home, they are the best of the best. But to see Adam Lambert standing in the bottom two last night after Adam’s brilliant performance of “Feeling Good” was mind boggling.
How can the most talented contestant to ever grace the Idol stage be in the bottom two? Adam Lambert has shown America week after week that he has the extraordinary talent, brilliant vocals, exhilarating stage presence, mesmerizing charisma, creative artistry, and outstanding professionalism to be the next Super Star. Adam Lambert is the most talked about contestant in the media, has the most views on youtube, has sold the most iTunes singles, has the largest Internet fan base, and yet he stands in the bottom two last night… unbelievable! It just proves how important it is to vote, because only your votes are what bring Adam Lambert one step closer each week to becoming our next American Idol. We, here at TALC, do believe that Adam Lambert will be a huge success in the music industry long after his run on American Idol, but until that day, we want to see him win this competition… he has earned it!!

The Top 5 sang “Energy” in this weeks American Idol Ford music video. Adam Lambert may not be into sports, but he held his own and he sure looked good as he ran to the finish line in Top 5: “Energy”
Check out behind the scenes where Adam explains “One of the things we had to do today was we had to lip sync to the track in fast forward, it was going really really fast. I guess they do that to create a cool look on camera. They shoot it in really high speed then they slow it down to the original speed of the track and it gets us looking more interesting.” Don’t miss Adam showing us what it’s like to sing a track in fast forward… funny stuff. As Adam Lambert, dressed in a black silk suit with his hair slicked back, stood on the Idol stage with a dim light cast upon him, he set the tone for an emotional journey with his rendition of “If I Can’t Have You”. Adam sang from that very personal place, the depths of his soul, that allowed his audience to feel his every emotion. Adam’s ability to take us on his heartfelt journey is truly a gift; one he gives so freely and with everything he has. Even while conveying pure raw emotion, Adam’s vocals remained flawless and stunning. I felt that Adam’s performance ended too soon… left me wanting more.
All the judges loved Adam’s performance. Randy, “You are ready right now dude!” Kara, “You’re brilliant! The emotion and the way you connected… it’s inspiring.” Paula, “Tonight, you chose to pick a disco song and not make it cliche and uptempo. I felt your pain… I felt your vulnerability which was beautiful.” Simon, “What I loved about this performance was it was original, I’ve never heard that song sung that way, most importantly, you’re going to remember it, and what’s even more important, the vocals were immaculate.”
Adam graciously thanked the judges for their critique. Adam also said, “Michael Orland helped me come up with that arrangement and he is a genius, so thank you Michael Orland.” I admire that quality about Adam, always giving credit to those who help him achieve his outstanding performances. Rosie, from TALC, had this to say, “In a competition where every bit of “glory” benefits YOU – Adam thanked Michael Orland for helping with the arrangement. His grace in the face of praise is just as stunning as it is in the face of criticism. CLASS – through and through.”
Performance Comments from members of TALC
“I just about passed out when I saw Adam last night. He looked absolutely gorgeous from head to toe. The music was very quiet so the tiniest glitch in his voice would have definitely be heard but it was so beautiful and flawless. I am so proud of him for expressing his vulnerability in front of so many people. I’m going to watch it again right now.” by Leming&LambertFan
“For the minute and a half that he sings I swear I must be in a trance from trying to take him all in. I have to re-watch his performance about fifty times, and even that’s not enough. LOL Don’t know what’s become of me, I haven’t been this hooked since ELVIS! Last night was no exception, Adam’s performance was sensual and heartfelt and vocally flawless. Simply brilliant!” by Judy

Adam Lambert’s electrifying performance of “Born to be Wild” landed him in what might have been the Top 6, but actually is another round for The Top 7. The ‘Idol’ judges chose to use their “save” on Matt Giraud last night. It was wonderful to see the commaradity among the contestants as they celebrated one more week together.
Next week’s theme will be Disco so we’re anticipating some John Travolta hips, platform shoes, and maybe some polyester pants. Seriously, we know we can count on Adam to bring it; offering us a unique and current performance with that Adam Lambert twist.
During the results show, Adam spoke about what it was like to work with Quentin, “He was really encouraging to all of us. One of the things that was really interesting was that he was talking about the power of music in his films. He picks a song, and before he starts filming a scene and he told us that he lets the vibe and the energy that’s in the music actually determine how he shoots things… really brilliant.”
Don’t miss out on Adam Lambert’s studio version of “Born to be Wild”… it’s a Rock/Electronica blend. Available at the American Idol iTunes store. Be sure to check it out.
The Top 7 sang, “Freeze Frame” by the J. Geils Band during their most recent Ford music video. It was fun to see a Rock magazine cover come to life with Adam singing and dancing. To watch click Top 7: Freeze Frame music video
We’ve got some mad love for Adam Lambert! After last night’s phenomenal performance of “Mad World” Adam joins ‘Idols’ Top 7. Always respectful, Adam expressed how honored he was to receive a standing ovation from Simon and all the judges last night. The judges were given an opportunity to praise Adam for his brilliant performance of “Mad World” since last night they had run out of time. Thanks for making that right American Idol.
The studio version of “Mad World” is now up on iTunes. Don’t miss out on Adam’s mad vocals… order yours today at American Idol iTunes store
The Top 8 sang “Circus” by Brittney Spears in this week’s Ford Music Video. The director asked Adam to start off very brooding and menacing. All the costumes, eccentric make up and glitter finished the look. Adam said, “This is very very theatrical which is right up my alley. I’m thrilled. This is probably going to be my favorite shoot.” To watch the Top 8 Ford music video click here
So if you were wondering if Adam Lambert has what it takes to make it as a recording artist, I’d say he’s well on his way! Adam’s “Tracks of my Tears” is hitting radio air waves all over the country. In just the last few days, since Adam’s performance on American Idol, “Tracks of my Tears” has had an impressive 28 spins!
Adam sees action on the Idol airplay chart
“The highest debut on our Idol Airplay chart this week goes to Adam Lambert’s The Tracks of My Tears, which saw 28 spins on 24 stations in six different formats (including country!). Now, 28 spins may not seem like a lot, but it’s the most by far for any American Idol contestant this season, and I don’t remember any Season 7 finalist getting more than 7 or 8 spins while Idol was on last year. I’m just guessing, but you might have to go back to Carrie Underwood and Rascal Flatt’s performance of Bless the Broken Road to see spins like that from a contestant during the show’s run.” By Brian Mansfield, Idol Chatter, USA Today
Here’s the breakdown from the Mediabase report for Idol’s Motown theme week:
Adam Lambert – “Tracks of My Tears” – 28 total spins
10 Top 40
8 Hot AC
3 Canada-Main AC
Think all this buzz is simply radio stations covering the American Idol show? Possibly, but when Adam Lambert is getting 28 spins out of a total 33 spins for all Top 10 contestants combined… five of them getting no spins at all… we might as well say we’re watching The Adam Lambert Show.
